Temporary Residence
a. LLB graduates with UK Law degree can have their qualifications assessed by the Supreme Court of Australia, a process that typically takes approximately 3 months.
b. Upon assessment, graduates are prescribed by the Supreme Court to study 5-6 subjects prescribed.
Leading to Permanent Residence
c. Completion of the prescribed subjects takes upto 1 year on-shore
d. Completion of subjects leads to enrolment in Supreme Court of Australia
e. Students also have work rights to help fund their ownself.
Legal Practitioners Board’s assessment
f. Successful completion guarantees residence due to the candidate being skilled, providing an opportunity to gain practical experience in the Australian legal landscape.
Expected outcome of the assessment
g. Upon enrolment in the Australian Supreme Court, candidate becomes eligible to file Permanent Residency.
Pathway 1 – LLB Graduates (University of London and University of Hertfordshire)
Pathway 2 – 2nd Year LLB Students with Credit Transfer
Pathway 3 – A Level Students
- LLB students with credit transfer after completing 2 years of their degree can expedite their Australian LLB completion within 1-1.5 years.
- Students have work rights to help fund their own self.
- Upon degree completion, students can enrol in the Supreme Court, gaining work and study rights in Australia.
